Sister was Laid Off Today

My sister has worked for her company for over twenty years in the PR department. Guess what? She was laid off today. Laid off after 20 years! Talk about being given the shaft. So now she's on the PR job search. Why wouldn't someone want her? She has over twenty years experience. Doesn't that stand for anything nowadays? I guess it's all about money. It's easier to pay less money for less experience. Personally I hope it blows up in her previous company's face.

How did 2009 Go for You?

2009 I think was a really bad year. Luckily, my husband still has his job. The problem is the plant my husband works at is closing next year and moving everything to guess where? Mexico! If you think everything is moving to Mexico YOU ARE RIGHT! I really want to know when America started not being good enough. People come here from Mexico all the time to work, but now they can go home and work. The next scary thing is we will be illegal aliens in Mexico looking for work. Can anyone say FUBAR?

Husband is looking for parts

My husband is on the search for Mopar performance parts. Now you might ask why would he be looking for parts at Christmas time? Well you know things have to be repaired sometimes, and as usual it happens over the holidays. So now he is on the hunt. He is very particular about what parts he uses. They must be Mopar parts. Hopefully, he will find them and all will be well. If not it could be bad. Merry Christmas and Ho Ho Ho.

Have an Attitude of Gratitude!

They say one of the best things to have is an attitude of gratitude. I don't think I do that enough. We all get so caught up in our lives that we forget to thank god and the universe for everything we do have. Oh I know there are lots of things we WANT to have but are you grateful for what you have now? I am soo grateful that I have a wonderful husband, and nice home, four cute cats, and a great family. I am so very lucky and grateful. I do want more like everyone else, but I am so grateful for what i have now. Are you?

Looking for the best Wireless Security System

My husband and I were talking about getting more security in our home. We have had some weird characters move into our neighborhood recently, and we decided to beef up our security. We went on line to check out wireless security systems. There are tons available. We just haven't figured out which is best for us. I want one that you can put on the doors and maybe the windows too. I'm looking for the best price. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ghost Adventures Spooky Tonight!

I am watching Ghost Adventures and the Linda Vista Community Hospital they are investigating in Los Angeles is way spooky. Yep you guessed it I love to watch all the ghost hunting shows. Man this hospital is strange. They are soooo much braver that I am. It isn't anywhere I would want to be. So I will watch from a distance. I just wonder why there never is any absolute proof. I don't mean just Ghost Adventures but, they other ones too. It must be a ghost law - no pictures please!

I love outdoor fireplaces!

This fall my husband put in an outdoor fireplace. We have really enjoyed going out there when it was a little chilly, start the fire and be nice and toasty enjoying the evening. I really thought it wasn't anything we would really use, I thought it was a waste of money. I was really angry with him for getting it, but I finally had to apologize to him about it. I was wrong after all.

The Duggar Baby is Here! Number 19!

I saw on the news today that Duggar baby number 19 has arrived. It did arrive prematurely, and has to stay in the pre natal intensive care unit. She was named Josie Brooklyn which I think is a very pretty name. She was born very young but they now say they have a good chance of living even if they are born really early. Congratulations to mother and family!

Tired of Hearing about Tiger Woods!

I am so tired of hearing about Tiger Woods. Can't they find ANYTHING else to talk about? It makes me want to run off to a new york hotel and hide away for a week. Haven't the news channels learned yet that it's IRRITATING to harp on the same thing over and over again? So the guys a schmuck and has done the same terrible things thousands of other guys have done. I feel sorry for his family, but I sure hate him getting free publicity out of it.

Blizzard in Kansas! They Weren't Kidding!

At the beginning of the week were were suppose to get 3 to 6 inches of snow. Well instead of that we got a foot of snow. Personally, I know I'm an oddity, I live in Kansas and hate snow. I was born here, but you guessed it I just hate cold weather. What a paradox! I really hope that this snow isn't a sign of a bad winter. I would love to find a place that has about 72 degrees year around. If I find a place like that I just might move there.

Yep I'm in Missouri!

Yep, here I am in Missouri and they are having a blizzard at home in Kansas. What you thought I would leave my laptop behind? Not likely. They things I did leave behind was my books. I take books with me everywhere. I ALWAYS read before I go to bed so I was like a fish out of water when I arrived. So when I arrived I kissed everyone said hi and ran to Walmart. So now THANKFULLY I have a new book to read so all is well.

Tiger Woods -Tired of Hearing About It!

I am so tired of hearing about Tiger Woods. So the guy fell off his white horse. So he showed his true colors we wouldn't think well of anyone else doing what he did either, but at least it wouldn't be splashed all over the newspapers and TV. It sounds like all his poor decisions are coming back to bite him in the butt. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Off on a Trip! Merry Christmas!

I am off to visit my friend in Missouri! I really don't get to see her too often so it's wonderful when we see each other. It's like no time has passed. We talk, and talk, and talk. I am getting ready to pack my Samsonite luggage. It's only going to be for three days, but those are a precious three days. There is nothing more important than friends.

I saw New Moon today

I saw New Moon today the second in the Twilight series. It was really good and had tons of special effects. Her reaction to Edward's leaving reminds me of when I was young. I found my soul mate his name was Bill. He was in the 8th grade and I was in the 7th grade. I know that sounds young but I KNOW he was my soul mate and we would have married if his family would have stayed. The sad thing was they moved the following summer. We kept in touch for awhile but then lost contact. I still think of him to this day. I love my husband but, I know when I met my soul mate.
