Are you ready for Halloween? I went shopping today for office supplies and people were already out shopping in Halloween costume! I can see it if you work there but to be out running around with you husband dressed in costume? I would think 1pm in the afternoon would be a little early for a party. I didn't just see a few people I saw a LOT of people dressed in costume. I just thought it was really strange.

Where to find a Shipping Box?

OK, I want to send some items to my aunt in Pennsylvania. The problem is I can't seem to find the right size shipping box. Either I am going to have to send two small boxes or 1 large box that's too big. So I had to go on the hunt for a box. I finally had to go to a special shipping site to get a box. It cost me 4 bucks! Can you imagine! Well, anyway it's done now.

Vampire Assistant a cool Movie!

We went this afternoon to see the Vampires Assistant. It had lots of special effects and there were a few parts that I didn't like but overall it was a pretty good movie. The way it ended I am guessing that they are going to make another one. I went and looked up the series and there are a lot of books in this series so I am sure we have more movies coming.

Dark Circles Under the Eyes AGAIN!

I woke up this morning and guess what their back! Yep the dreaded dark circles under eyes are BACK! I really hat them. I have been trying different products but so far I haven't found a complete cure. When I've had a restless night or a stressful day the dark circles always show up again. It's very frustrating! I'm hoping to find a complete cure. Until then I will keep looking.

Do you remember Steve Urkel?

I use to love the show Family Matters and Steve Urkel. I was reading Fox News which had an article about the people who starred in Family Matters. What they are doing now. I thought it was very interesting to read about what they are all doing currently. They have all kept very busy and look even better now than they did then. I hope things continue to go great for them.

Which is the Right Cross Country Mover?

Mary is moving to Texas so she asked me to help her check out some cross country movers. I told her first of all we really need to compare prices and the quality of the companies. After we have a list then we need to call and see if they have any customers we can contact to give us a reference about them. I know that sounds kind of extreme, but if someone has my furniture I want to know if I can really trust them or not. Mary agreed with me.

Orionid Meteor Shower Tonight!

I can't wait until the meteor shower tonight. I've never seen one so it's a first for me. I went to bed at 4pm and slept until 8pm so that I could be up until 1am to watch the Orionid meteor shower. I wish I had a special camera to get a shot of it. They say you won't need a telescope just a dark sky without a lot of lights. So we are going to drive out side of town a little ways so we can be sure to have open sky without any distractions. I can't wait!

Pumpkin Carving is an Art!

Ok, my granddaughter wants to carve some pumpkins for Halloween. The problem is I'm not very good at it. The people who can carve pumpkins have to be artists because it is pretty hard to do. I finally decided it's like finding the best weight loss pill you have to do a lot of research. I looked on line for stencils, but I'm not sure I can cut well enough to follow a stencil if it's very complicated. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Halloween, What costume are you going to wear?

Well, Halloween is only a few weeks away, have you decided what you are going to wear? I think I'm going to go as a hippie if I can find the vintage clothes. I have the bell bottoms actually so I need a vintage shirt, vest and headband. I may have to make my own so I have been looking into getting some vintage material. Wish me Luck!

Buying a Grill Guard Another Dress Up for HIS Truck

Good god it's like a kid in a candy store. He got his new truck and first we bought truck rail covers. Then we bought a fancy slim toolbox. Now he wants to look at grill guards. Is this a truck or a Cadillac? I mean seriously. I told him that I didn't buy a bunch of stuff for my car. He said well that's because it's a car and not a truck. Is every man like this with his truck? I guess it is true. A man and his toys.

It's October ALREADY! Christmas Shopping Again

Do you realize that Christmas is about 2 and 1/2 months away. It seems like we just finished last Christmas. It's like a bad penny it keeps coming back. I can't believe really that we are already in October. I hate Christmas shopping. I really dread having to do it every year and here we are again. Yep, you guessed it, I'm a scrooge. It's not the spending the money, it's the HASSLE! I personally would rather just run away until it's over.

Art Deco Lighting Fixtures the Way to Go

I have been really drawn to the Art Deco period lately. I have decided to put up a few new lighting fixtures in a few rooms. I really want them to have the Art Deco style. The problem is I'm really having a hard time finding exactly what I want. I think my favorite light is the Murray Feiss "Fusion" light. It has such an Art Deco look to it. I haven't made a final decision but I think that's the one.

Hubby's Gone for the Weekend!

The hubby went with my sister, her family, my brother, and his family to the Nascar races in Kansas City. I have never been a fan of the races. My father dragged us to the races ever since I can remember. I didn't like it then and I don't like it now, but my husband is a race gear head. Yep, you heard it I called him, and my family all a bunch of race gear heads. My brother drives a race car at a local track here so they all go every weekend. I go once in awhile, but honestly I'd rather be watching TV or reading a book. So I can do whatever I want this weekend. Yahoo!
