Tornado alley having it's usual weather.

Tonight as usual for this time of year the weather is very stormy. I live in tornado alley so this is not unusual. Although I must say that that the amount of storms has been lower this year than in previous years. Normally I don't like stormy weather but we are in need of the rain already. So I hope we get a good rain tonight and it goes away tomorrow that way my allergies can calm down.

Greensburg, Ks re-building green

I have been watching the reality show on the rebuilding of Greensburg, Kansas after it was destroyed by a tornado. I am from Kansas so this is a very interesting show. They are trying to rebuild the city by making the new buildings green and better for the environment. I hope it helps with the environment and the people. Talk about coming back with a vengeance! They have accepted what has happened and are coming back stronger, more efficient and better for the environment. I think this community should be applauded. I for one am planning a trip to Greensburg to see how they have overcome their tragedy. Even though my friend has Mesothelioma cancer she wants to go look too.

Maine 5th State to Legalize Same Sex Marriage

I read today that Maine is the 5th state to legalize same sex marriage. I am not gay, but I am for anyone and that is ANYONE being able to live their life as they please. I truly believe that everyone in the world has the right to live their life as they want with out interference for crazies, religious zealots, or any of the other groups out there who think they have the right to tell someone else how to live their life. I don't let anyone tell me how to live my life and neither should you.

Rachel Alexandra wins Preakness Stakes

The 134th running of the Preakness Stakes was won Saturday by Rachel Alexandra. She was the first filly to win since 1924. Rachel Alexandra took the early lead and held on at the end of the 1 3/16 miles at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.

Rachel Alexandra was rode by Calvin Borel, who rode her to a sixth straight victory.
Rachel Alexandra beat Mine That Bird, ridden by Mike Smith the Hall of Fame jockey, by a length. It's nice to see a girl win even if it is a horse.

I would have loved to have gone to the race. If I had I would have checked out Westgate to see if I could have made a reservation.

Susan Boyle Why Can't Simon Just Let Her Be?

Now Simon is putting down Susan Boyle's success that it will hurt her chances on Britain's Got Talent. Now is that fair? What's the matter Simon jealous? I really hate that man. He has a ego the size of a gods, and has to say something nasty about anyone who is successful that isn't HIM. Can't he just for ONCE be happy for someone who has talent. I feel sorry for Susan I better she feels like she's in a hurricane.
