A Gambling We Go!

We are leaving Thursday for a short gambling vacation in Colorado. I can't remember if we are staying in Central City or Blackhawk, but we are staying at one of the casino's. We are also going to the Coors brewery and a flea market in Denver as well as shopping. It should be lots of fun IF the weather cooperates. We are going to be there for 4 days so I can't wait to go even though I hate the mountains. Hopefully my
diet pill will keep me slim and trim even if I overeat!

The Blue Dalhia with Alan Ladd - A Great Movie!

I just finished watching The Blue Dalhia with Alan Ladd. What a great murder mystery! I love old movies I just think they had more umph than the movies made nowadays. Actually, old musicals are my favorite kind of movies, but really almost all of them are great. Turner Classic Movies offers the greatest movies continually. I will be a old classic movie fan always.

I want to go on a Caribbean Cruise!

I told Bryan I wanted to go on some Caribbean cruises. Yes, that is a dream, but at least I would like to go on one cruise. My friend went last year and said her and her husband went had a ball. I really want to go at least once in my life, more if I can get away with it. I looked on several sites to see what the activities are. They offer EVERYTHING! Personally if I could swim during the day, read my book, and go to shows in the evening I would be happy. Of course, I want to visit the Caribbean Islands too. Wish me luck, now all I have to do is talk Bryan into it.

NFL Draft - Watching with Anticipation

Today's the day of the NFL draft my husband has been watching and waiting with anticipation. Who is going to pick whom? Which teams are going to pick which players? His favorite team is the Dallas Cowboys so now he wants to know who they are drafting and how that will help the team. Personally I think it's silly, but each to their own. I never did get football you must really need to have the sporting gene. I'm pretty sure it missed me when they were handing them out.

Looking for a good Appetite Suppressant

I am trying to diet but my hunger keeps doing me in so I am looking for a good natural appetite suppressant. I would like one that works well without harmful chemicals. I really want to lose about 40 pounds if I can get this part under control. They said when you have hunger pains you are really just thirsty, but I drink a lot of water and still have hunger pangs. If anyone knows of a good suppressant let me know.

Bea Arthur has died today, What a Loss!

I was really sad to hear that Bea Arthur died today. I loved her in Golden Girls. She had that gravelly voice and deadpan humor. I just loved watching her. I think we have all lost a wonderful star. I hate it when celebrities die, we not only lose someone special since everyone is special in their own way, but we also lost someone of great talent, and that makes it a even bigger shame.

Now I need a new DELTA FAUCET!

Well I went to wash the dishes and my wonderful faucet has a leak! My present faucet is not a Delta faucet and I was an idiot to put in any other kind but Delta. They just seem to last me twice as long as the others. Besides I really like some of their styles. Well as luck will have it my husband said he thought the hardware store might be having a sale on Delta faucets this week. He thought he saw it in the Sunday paper. I am keeping my fingers crossed. They can be expensive but they are worth it!

Susan Boyle is NOT A FRAUD!

What the hell? I am reading now where they are saying that Susan Boyle is a fraud. Oh they don't have any proof to prove it, but they are saying it all the same. Talk about a bunch of jealous spoilsports! I can't stand those kind of people. You know the ones who can't be happy about someone else's good fortune. They have to rain on everyone's parade. Well my advice to them is if you can't say something nice KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!

I need a moving pod, Too much Stuff!

I have been trying to clean out my house. I have just way too much stuff. I don't want it all back in my house so I have talked to an auctioneer to sell off my excess junk crap treasures. Now all I need to do is rent a couple of moving pods to store it all in until it can go to auction. I don't know who invented the pods but I think they are a terrific idea!

Xavier Henry to Play for Kansas Yeah!

Xavier Henry former University of Memphis signee is going to announce Thursday that he is intending to play for Kansas next season. I'm from Kansas so I'm all for anyone that will help our team. He was suppose to play for Memphis but when the coach John Calipari’s left he wasn't really expected to stay. I wish Xavier the best of luck.

Banks get bailouts then show profits?

What the blue blazes is going on? Some of the large banks needed bailout money. Yours and my hard earned money. Then they are showing profits in their quarter sales. What is going on? If they are showing profits then they DON'T NEED OUR MONEY! This is the wackiest thing I have ever seen. If they are showing a profit then give us our money back! Not in a week, not in a month, not in a year, but now! Put it back where it came from, and take all this debt off of our heads, and our children's heads, and our grand children's heads...

Bo Jackson invests in a bank?

I read in the paper today that Bo Jackson has invested in a bank in Burr Ridge, Ill. Now I THINK I've heard of everything! Remember I said I think because something is always coming along and surprising me. What exactly does Bo Jackson know about banking and why would you invest in a bank in this economy? Well if anyone can enlighten me I would like to know.

Estradiol can make you sick!

My doctor put me on estradiol about three weeks ago for hot flashes. After about a week I started to have joint pains. They continued to get worse. I told the doctor that I thought it was the estradiol. She told me oh it could be that it doesn't show that as a side effect. Sometimes I think doctors are dumber that bricks. Anyway I told her that I wasn't going to take it anymore. Come to find out that some estradiol is made from soy. Guess what I am allergic to? You got it soy. I quit using it two days ago and low and behold the joint pain went away. We as people need to take some responsibility for our health. We need to read the different reviews available including the nuphedra reviews. The moral to my story is don't take what the doctor says as law. You know your body better than they do. Keep pushing till you get or find the right answer.

Susan Boyle Sang "My Heart Will Go On" on Larry King.

Susan Boyle sings 'My Heart Will Go On' for CNN's Larry King tonight. She wowed me again. This woman has a outstanding voice. She actually looks like an average person. I am sure somewhere along her adventure that they will try to make her over. You know how they are obsessed with appearance. You have to look like a model to make them happy. Well guess what she doesn't look like a model. She looks more like Kate Smith who was a amazing singer too.

Susan Boyle can really Sing!!

I watched the video of Susan Boyle singing on the British TV show "Britain's Got Talent". She has such an amazing voice. Talk about talent hiding in a closet all these years. When she walked out they made fun of her, but when she started to sing she blew them all away. She just made you want to stand up and cheer! I usually spend my time on the internet reading reviews like diet pill reviews, but I am really glad I watched the video. I really hope someone promotes her and she is able to sing professionally because she sure has the voice for it.

Obama got a dog Whoop Te Do!

Oh my god can the news be serious. They are actually doing articles on the Presidents dog? Who gives a "pardon my French" rats ass. I mean seriously. Do you really care what kind of dog runs around the White House? Come on news folks lets concentrate on what is important like the economy, the stock market, the depression our country is in. Who cares about the dog. Not me for one.

Have a new TV must find stand

We are finally buying a new HD flat screen TV. Yeah! Now all I need is a really nice tv stand. I thought about putting it on the wall, but honestly I'm really not sure I like that look. We went looking yesterday for a stand but I just didn't see anything I liked. I like the traditional look better than the new black furniture. All I have been able to find are black stands or ones made of glass. Does anyone know where to look?

Tarp Accountability Well DUH!

I read in the paper today that they are calling for scrutiny of bailout spending. WELL DUH! Why wasn't this written into the Tarp our already organized when the Tarp was written? I think it comes back to the fact that the people in Washington forget that it is not their money their spending it is OUR money their spending. Yours and mine. The money we work 40+ hours a week to earn. It would be nice if just once the people we elected would actually look out for us instead of themselves.

What are the best weight loss products?

I have been searching the Internet trying to figure out what are the best weight loss products. I need to lose weight, but I would really like to do it as naturally as possible. I have a really hard time thinking if you eat special food you'll be able to keep the weight off so that's out. I don't mind taking supplements as long as they are safe. Although, it could be along the same line as the special food will you gain the weight back if you stop taking them? If anyone has a suggestion I'm all ears. It's just really hard to figure out a weight loss product that easy to use and really does work.

Jiverly Voong kills 14 people in New York including himself

Jiverly Voong made sure no one could escape by blocking the door with his car before opening fire in a Binghamton, N.Y., immigrant services center today. He was armed with two pistols – a 9 mm and a .45 caliber handgun. The shootings were premeditated but they do not have a motive at this time. My condolences to the families of the victims. I will be praying for you.
