Brad Pitt and Jennifer Annison Come on people leave them alone!

Every time I look at a magazine all I see is Jennifer against Angelina. Come on people do you REALLY believe that Jennifer still gives a flip what Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt do? It has been years already. I am sure she has moved on with her life why can't the magazines? Would they pay this much attention if she had mesothelioma? I don't think so. It's just sad when the news and magazines have to drag up old news over and over again.

Bristol Palin has a boy!

I read in the news today that Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol 18 had a boy. I hope everything went well. I know she was pregnant and not married, but I hope that her mom Sarah Palin stood behind her. She and the father are getting married in 2009. I wish them all the best.

LCD HDTV prices going down?

Since all the televisions channels are changing to digital my husband and I have been thinking about replacing a couple of TV's if the prices go down after Christmas. They are advertising a 32" LCD HDTV for $399 dollars at Sears. We need a new one for the office so that may be what we do if the price comes down enough. We will have to watch and see. They will work because we use cable but it would be nice if they got a lot of the channels instead of a few.

Our Town has a Free Christmas Dinner

We have a chef who lives here that prepares a free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner every year. I am so proud of the fact that our town of about 50,000 people does this every year. I try to contribute, but I am not much of a cook so the best way I can help is with money. We try to give back if possible. How about you?

My sisters computer is sooo slow Snore!

When I am at my sisters house, and we use her computer for something I feel like I could take a nap between pages as it loads. It is sooooo slow! It needs more Ram, and it needs more computer memory. I told her if she wasn't going to get a new computer at least upgrade her computer. Mine is fast so I really don't have the patience to wait on a slow computer. I really hope she pays attention. I told her if I start snoring waiting for it load to just nudge me.

On Vacation for 12 Days!

My husband's company shuts down at Christmas for 12 days so I took the same time off. I don't know about anyone else but I am ready for this vacation! I haven't had one since April. I just feel like I am all in but my shoelaces. I am going to sleep late, read books, go gambling, work on my blogs and just enjoy life for 12 glorious days. YAHOO!

No Christmas pictures SD Card on the fritz!

Well, that just bites! I went to take pictures of my family opening presents and the sd card won't work. It says it needs to be formatted. I did that and it's still not working. Now where do you go on Christmas to buy a new sd card? Guess I will have to add it to my after Christmas shopping list. All I can say is FUDGESICLES!

Today's Christmas THANK GOD!

Okay call me Scrooge. My sister is trying to convenience me that it's fun to go shopping for Christmas presents. That it's more fun to shop for presents than just giving money. Sorry but I have news for her I would rather give money. I don't mind the money I hate figuring out what to buy. So all I can say is Thank God it is now here and will be over. Then on to the after Christmas sales!

Done with school now what do you do with the textbooks?

My niece graduated last spring. She was telling me the other day now that she has graduated what the heck does she do with her textbooks? I told her about a website I found that she can sell back used textbooks. After I finished my class last fall that is what I did. I told her to check out Valorebooks.com. The site is easy to use. You type in the ISBN number off the book, then you see how much the book is worth. If you want to sell it they will pay the shipping, and as soon as they receive the books they will pay you. I talked to her yesterday, and she said that she is going to sell some of the books to them. She was happy with the price they offered her. She said it was nice not having to pay the shipping too. I asked what she was going to do with the money. She said she was going to buy some new shoes. Sounds sensible to me.

Addicted to Lindt Chocolate

Well, I admit it I am addicted to Lindt chocolate. I never use to like dark chocolate. I teach English as a second language, and I teach it over the phone to people in Europe. One of my learners told me that black chocolate in Europe wasn't anything like dark chocolate here. Dark chocolate made here in the United States is bitter, and I have to admit it UCKY! She said try Lindt 70% cacao chocolate. When I first opened it up man was it dark looking. I thought I bet it will be bitter. To my surprise, it wasn't bitter just very chocolaty tasting. You can even taste the cocoa butter in it. Well now I'm hooked. I am looking for a fudge recipe that uses dark chocolate(not American). If you know of one let me know!

Cosmetic Dentistry should I or shouldn't I?

I was online today looking at different sites about cosmetic dentistry. I ran across the San Diego Cosmetic Dentistry, Irresistible Smiles website. I need some teeth filled, and at least a couple of caps replaced. I was also thinking about porcelain veneers. The problem is I am not sure how good my teeth are now so I want to go visit with a dentist first. I also need a tooth implant because I had one pulled on the bottom and it makes it harder to eat. So I am thinking I need an implant so it will make eating easier. Anyway the Irresistible Smiles website offers Cosmetic Bonding too. I am just not sure what would be best for my teeth. You know as you get older it seems like your teeth wear more. I do think I am going to consider cosmetic dentistry. I want to keep my own teeth and have a nice smile for as long as I can. My teeth were weakened as a child from some medicine that my mother gave me. At the time they didn't know it would damage children's teeth. It makes it harder to keep them in decent working condition.

White Christmas movie on the Big Screen!

We have an old movie theatre here that they renovated. I actually worked there when I was sixteen for $1.00 an hour. Yep it makes me older than dirt. Anyway they played the original White Christmas movie with Bing Crosby on Thursday. My sister, her daughters, and I went. It was so cool to be in the old theatre again. It doesn't look the same they didn't follow the design when they repainted it, but still it was really cool. We even sat in the balcony! Talk about memories, it was awesome!

Harley Davidson apparel for Christmas

My niece's birthday is on the 21st of January. I asked her what she wanted she said she wanted Harley Davidson apparel. Why she was so formal about it I don't know. She said she like the apparel they have at Latus Harley Davidson online. I went online and checked it out. They have some of the cutest clothes! I told her to just go on there and pick out what she wanted. I gave her a price range too. Well she decided on a cute women's t-shirt, and sunglasses. Now all I have to do is find the time to get back on there and order them. I am not really a bike rider, but the clothes are so cute I might have to buy something for myself. I love the jackets, I just don't know if I want to spend the money on myself so close to Christmas.

Christmas presents ARE WRAPPED!

Thank god! My presents are wrapped FINALLY! Now it's time to make fudge and cookies! It has been so cold here that the last bit of shopping I had to do was mighty cold shopping. My sister and I went today and finally finished up. For me it's a pain. It's not the spending money it's the hunt for the gifts and figuring out what to buy the people who WON'T give you an idea what they want. Anyway it's done YA!

Video Taped a Wedding Now What?

I went to my friends wedding on Saturday. She asked if I would video tape it for her. It was no problem so I did. It is suppose to be my present to her for her wedding. Now I am thinking that it would be great if it could be edited, music added, etc. The problem is I can't decide who to have do the postproduction video services. My first concern of course is the price. My second concern is how long it might take. My friend is already bugging me to see the video tape. I told her she just got back from her honeymoon so I haven't had time yet to get it done. I told her I would try to get it done as soon as possible. Now all I have to do is decide what I want done. How much I want to spend and if I want to add music.

Hi Ho Hi Ho Bunches and Bunches of Christmas Shows!

I just finished watching another Christmas movie. I have probably watched about 30 of them so far. It has really been great this year. I have seen a lot of old Christmas movies and TONS of new ones. Thank you filmmakers for helping make my Christmas a great one! It has really helped put me in the Christmas mood!

Antique stores Are they Dead?

My friend has an antique store. I am really beginning to worry about her. Her business is SLOOOWWWWW! With Ebay antique stores haven't done as well as they use to. I personally thought she was crazy to open one up in the first place. Don't get me wrong I have been rooting for her, but it doesn't take a brain surgeon to know that it is not the most profitable business in the world. She probably has 20,000 dollars worth of stock or more. By the time you pay rent month after month and have an item for 6 months how can you be making anything? I don't get it. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't think so.

Fran Drescher "The Nanny" whatever happened to her?

I saw an old episode of The Nanny today. It got me thinking about Fran Drescher. I haven't seen her in anything for a long time. What is she doing now? Is she still acting? I loved her in The Nanny. I thought she was beautiful and talented. I sometimes wonder about Hollywood. Why don't they use some of the actors and actresses they have access to. You see them then it's like they dropped off the face of the earth. It's really weird. I really hope she's back before the camera soon.

Christmas Already?

I just can't believe that we only have 21 days until Christmas. The time just goes by SO fast! It seems like I will go to bed tonight and tomorrow will be Christmas. It is going so fast it is almost a blur. The older I get the faster time goes. Is this normal? As I get older I want to savor my time everyday. It just doesn't seem like I have the time to savor anything let alone see it as it goes by. My husband says Christmas can't get here fast enough for him, but that is because he is working a lot of overtime. He gets from Christmas to January 2ND off, and he can't wait.
